Some advice or more information from our years of experience regarding ski season work are as follows.
Chalet host work is long hours, bad pay and your accommodation with be very basic. You will work very hard day and night to assist your clients with duties such as cleaning, cooking, driving etc. The pay is bad yes but somethimes your food, accommodation, lift pass and travel paid for if you find the correct company and are lucky but most will only cover a few of those elements. We have a list of the good and bad ones from past experiences and others experiences over many seasons.
Bar/ Transfer driving / waitress etc work is much better paid, you will get good tips and have a lot more freedom, your hours are set so you know where you stand. You have a lot more freedom to get up the Mountain and do what you are really here to do, ski/snow board all winter. Some companies will pay your lift pass and maybe even your accommodation. The pay is much better and we think it leads for a much better experience on your ski season here in Morzine!! Not many return seasonaires work for chalet companies again but sometimes financial reasons dictate.
